Steakhouse cuts including NY Strip, Filet (or tenderloin) and Ribeye steaks don't require much preparation to achieve an amazing meal! Here are our tips for a no fail steak:
- Pat dry steaks and season just before cooking.
- Cook for 3-5 min per side on a hot skillet (cast iron preferred) over medium-medium high heat. Flip only once during cooking time.
- Once steaks done, quickly remove from pan and let rest for 5-10 min on a plate loosely covered with foil.
- To pan with bits of fond, may add butter, wine, fresh herbs (rosemary, thyme) and/or garlic to create a sauce to serve with steak.
